One page autograph letter addressed to “My Dear Kent" dated Tuesday 13 March 1869, with a franked envelope signed by Dickens to a Miss Welch.  From being employed as a child filling bottles in a blacking warehouse to struggling young court reporter, to world acclaimed novelist, Dickens's life was a rags to riches story.  At age 25, after the tremendous success of Pickwick Papers, Dickens at times lived his life with a flourish, flamboyance and occasional bravado reminiscent of the characteristic flourish of his signature.
