Autograph letter from Queen’s Elm dated November 23, 1841 signed by R. B. Peake and addressed to “My dear John.”  Peake was the author of “Amateurs and Actors” which was an after-piece to “Clari, or the Maid of Milan” performed April 27, 1833.  “Amateurs and Actors” has been incorrectly attributed to Dickens.  However, it was performed as an amateur theatrical in which Dickens took part on April 27, 1833.
