Undated (however 12 April 1859 penciled in by an unknown hand) four-page autograph letter with envelope.  The letter is addressed to “My dear Mrs. Jameson” and is signed “Adelaide” (i.e. Adelaide Proctor, author of Legends and Lyrics).  A chatty letter, in which Proctor writes of mutual friends and says that “Mamma & the girls start I believe on Friday for Paris” She also mentions the excitement about the “dissolution” in the House of Commons, and Disraeli’s role in it.
