One page autograph letter dated May 26th 1832, addressed “Dear Sir” and signed by John Braham, producer and actor.  The letter is written to James Wallach, the Acting Manager of the Drury Lane Theater.  An indignant letter, in which Braham says “No consideration will ever induce me to undergo the degradation of being dragged before an audience at one o clock in the morning it is as mortifying to the feelings of a performer as annoying to an audience.  I therefore (seeing where you placed “Maraniello”) must decline performing on the 1st of June...”
